We are pleased to welcome Lenore Hample as our new Chorus Director! Lenore moved to Montrose in 2008 with her husband David, and has been very involved with the musical "scene" in Montrose since her arrival.  She was Assistant Musical Director for Magic Circle Theatre's production of My Fair Lady,  Musical Director for their presentation of Oklahoma and will be Musical Director for Sweeney Todd in 2012.

Lenore holds a Master of Music Degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Maine, where she was a Graduate Assistant. As such, she directed the 86-voice Collegiate Chorale. She holds a Bachelor of Music, Organ Performance Degree, from North Park College (now University) in Chicago. Prior to moving to Montrose, she was Adjunct Professor of Music at Chipola College, Marianna, Florida, where she directed the Chipola Singers, the Community Choir and taught organ.

Lenore has been Organist/Director of Music for a variety of churches around the country. In that capacity, she has directed choral, handbell and instrumental choirs for all ages. She also had the privilege of directing choral and handbell choirs for Ecumenical and Interfaith Hymn Festivals.

Lenore has taught music in public and private schools, as well as being a private teacher of piano, organ and voice.   Since moving to Montrose, she occasionally plays the organ for various churches , and gave an organ recital on the pipe organ at Montrose United Methodist Church.
