Orchestra Manager's Musings
by Dan Lamar
The second semester began on February 9th with two new young musicians joining us – one on violin and the other on cello. We have new music which we will perform at the Valley Symphony Orchestra’s May 2nd and 4th concerts and at our own concerts on May 9th (in Cedaredge) and 10th (in Montrose). Check out our printable schedule for rehearsal and concert information (view and print PDF poster for distribution).
The VYO Dinner Concert on Sunday, January 27, 2008, at Delta High School was a great success. Thanks to Debbie Becker for organizing and overseeing the Silent Auction which was a rewarding but time-consuming new addition to our 2nd Annual Dinner Concert. More details and photos will follow soon.
The Colorado Symphony Orchestra is performing Friday, July 18, 7:30 p.m and Saturday, July 19 - 9:30 a.m. at the Montrose Pavilion. Saturday is a Young Person's Concert, sponsored by the Montrose Arts Council. Tickets are available at the Pavilion.
