For the only free and outdoor concerts of the season, the VSA orchestra and chorus perform a wide range of popular and contemporary music styles, including Americana, traditional marches, jazz standards, well-known classical, Broadway tunes, movie music, and rock ‘n’ roll.

With a showcase of spooky classical masterpieces, the orchestra kicks off the VSA’s Jubilee Season with a thrilling performance of Disney’s groundbreaking marriage of symphonic music and animation, Fantasia, featuring magnificent classical repertoire from the original 1940 movie.

Over 100 regional musicians share the stage to present our annual sell-out spectacular, featuring Christmas on Broadway and film! Spanning periods and emotions, our February winter concert is all about drama – musical drama that tells a story. From the depth of despair to the apex of exhilaration, these songs are filled with passion. From lush to poignant, quiet to dramatic, selections span 500 years, from the late 1600’s to the 20th century, including music from Purcell, Mozart, Rossini, Verdi, Puccini, Tchaikovsky, Carlisle Floyd, and George Gershwin.

Spanning one of the most diverse musical decades of all time, the spring choral concert will take you on a journey highlighting the best of American-born rock and pop--we'll even get soulful and funky. From hits by James Taylor to Queen, the Doobie Brothers to Paul Simon, this concert is full of songs people of all ages know and love. Sit back, enjoy, and sing-along—it’s sure to be pure, toe-tapping fun!
